About Santa Barbara’s Utopia Technology
Utopia Technology’s James Budow has been serving the Santa Barbara, Goleta and Montecito area’s audio visual technology needs since 2000 with what was formerly named Performance Audio, installing home theater and audio systems.
Much of his industry experience came in setting up conference rooms at local companies like Citrix (now LMI), with world class, state-of-the-art conference room spaces and service level agreements for after hours support. His work can also be seen in home theater and audio systems in homes throughout the south coast. James is a Carpinteria native whose family business, Tri-County Auto Glass, has served the Santa Barbara area for decades.
Utopia Technology was launched in 2022 to focus on home and office network setup, installation and support with the latest smart home and smart office technology. James also owns Montecito Security Systems which focuses on home and office security solutions.
James is a licensed Electrical Contractor and holds his ACO licensing [Alarm Company Operator]. He has successfully completed many courses from CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association), and is EGSA certified (Electrical Generating System Association).
